On June 22 we will be returning to our Chicago home at Cubby Bear in Wrigleyville! It’s been almost 6 months since we’ve played here with the craziness of the spring semester of the school year and an overloaded schedule. To cut to the chase, we miss you Chicago and we can’t wait to see you. Come out and enjoy the start of your summer with us as we kick it off right, across the street from the legendary Wrigley field.
We are looking for the most talented, young and energetic bassists out there to join our band! Singing ability is essential for at least harmony parts. Some of you may have heard that our friend, band-mate, and current bass player Cory Flynn will be winding down his tenure with the band. As much as we’ll miss him, the music must go on.
We will be holding auditions in the coming weeks throughout the Chicagoland area, but are asking candidates to please first send clean, quality video and/or audio clips (so we can clearly hear what you’re playing and singing), FB links, pictures, etc. to: mike@mikeandjoe.com
This is a full-time, salaried position; and a great opportunity, especially for top-tier, up-and-coming musicians. We look forward to your submissions, and hopefully meeting you on stage!

We are playing an event called Mash Bash in Rockford on May 31. The purpose of the MASH Bash is to honor and celebrate the first responders and to give the community an opportunity to meet first responders in a non-emergency situation. Proceed will be earmarketed toward the purchase of equipment used to train first responders in the region.

So we’re officially “touring” on a brand new CD. After almost 7 years of not releasing a new Bootleg, we decided to finally finish a brand new one with some tunes that are more relevant to our set list. Check a few posts down for a complete track listing for Bootleg Vol. 4. Over the next month, not only will we be finishing out the semester at our favorite colleges, but we’re also going to be releasing the Bootleg. These will all be CD release parties where you can grab a discounted CD.

We are back at the Vogue Theatre again for one last time before summer. This is also one of our last shows surrounding the Bootleg CD Release. Be sure to pick one of those up for $5 and listen to some of the newer songs we’ve been covering this past year. Indy fans, make sure to come out and have a great time with us since we’re not at the Vogue very often.
This Saturday we’ll be at Durty Nellie’s for our summer kick-off and CD Release party. For the first time in about seven years we put out a new Bootleg CD and we want can’t wait to release it to our great fans of Palatine. Saturday will be College ID night with a $5 cover if you show your student ID and there will be some great drink specials. Make sure to stop by and we’ll have a great time this Saturday!

We will be making a special appearance this weekend in celebration of the graduating students at SIU. Come down to Pinch Penny Pub for a special after party and performance one last time for the semester. This will be our last college performance until next time we’re back at Pinch this fall.
